Referee/Officials Thread 2019/20

Nope, never ceases to amaze how our oppo stay so disciplined against us with all the possession we enjoy, remarkable really, just 4 fouls in 90 minutes from Everton yesterday, that deserves a fair play award of some sort.

Its utterly ridiculous as a stat and proves what we are say.

Team chasing the ball, chasing the game and they barely commit a foul whilst we boss the game, win 3-1 and have players constantly whistled for fouls and booked?

Nah....sorry i am not having it.

Rodri’s yellow yday was one of the softest I’ve seen.

Every 50/50 went their way too.

The only chance most sides have against us week in, week out is set pieces.

Funnily enough the soft free kicks awarded give them just those chances...

Yep.

Anything wide of the box, in a crossing position and the linesman is waving his flag like an epileptic.

The only thing I can think is that Oliver, who was on the other side of it, it might have seemed like he put his hip into Calvert Lewin and came from a kind of behind the man position. But even then that’s being as fair to the ref as possible. That camera angle shows he clearly just wins the ball.

I wonder what it looks like from an camera angle from the other side?

But even if it looks like a foul from the other angle, it’s clearly not a bloody booking!

Oliver made the gesture as he booked him for the pull just b4 he tackled him. A load of poop, a terrible decision

Reminds me of Brighton in the cup semi final at Wembley..soft free kicks...ball swung into our box...We will have to get used to defending this ploy. .and tbf before Laportes injury we didn't do too bad.

A few years ago Sergio, at Southampton, was brought down on th edge of the area; the Southampton player pleaded that it was outside the area and the ref booked Sergio for diving, Oliver by chance??
