Referee/Officials Thread 2019/20

There are ways certain referees control the game in favour of a particular team.

Blocking the passing channel's, playing advantage where there is none, giving most of the 50/50's one way, time keeping, inconsistency with bookings, etc.

Pep knows it goes on. We just have to live with it and play in a way that negates the effects which we were doing nicely until they got VAR.

Did you see how many times Gundogan or Rodri had to drop off deeper because that **** Oliver was in the way and making no attempt to get out of it.

Chelsea vs Liverpool. Last minute, clear advantage for Liverpool but probably only about 10 seconds before the ball is lost. Tired legs, no wish to attack more, Chelsea pushing... if ball changes possession, just about one more attack for Chavs to try to equalize. he stops the play and spends the minute left on that nothing foul.

Everton vs City, 1:1, or 1:2, clear foul on 20 yards, very centrally, great opportunity for free kick, he lets the advantage while the ball is just going parallel with the goal and absolutely nothing can happen with it.

Oliver is the biggest asshole from all refs. He won't make many game changing mistakes, but he will make 10 like this one, or giving foul against Bernardo when Danny Rose knocks him out. It's not changing the game in very direct way, but it's just enough to help someone.

He will block our passing lines 5 times during game too. But that's not something only him do, many refs use same tactics when we are playing.

Exactly that.

So many people slagging Gundo for a poor performance yesterday that didn't account for Oliver's bent reffing.
And i inagine Rodri was walking on eggshells after his ridiculous booking ..perhaps playing a part in a quiet 20 mins after halftime. .and his exuberant celebration after Sterling's goal..when he knew the game was won.

And was this the same ref who ignored Rodri being pulled to the ground by the neck...by two players against Spurs (no pen,no card ) a few weeks ago..yet (according to another poster on here) pulled him up yesterday for pulling the Everton player..before booking him for his reaction
The inconsistency is high and very difficult to justify. And this is the country's 'top' ref. ..
