Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

Thought it was one of the clearer penalties that they've been given against us over the years. Ortega didn't get the ball and made contact with the player. Regardless if he left his leg trailing or not it's still impeding the progress of the attacker.

The early yellow for Nunes was harsh especially when no reciprocation to a Liverpool player happened a short time later. There was a foul on Foden that definitely deserved a yellow. Other than that he wasn't too bad. Ignored most of Liverpool's theatrics though could have booked Salah for his constant whinging of not being given a free-kick.

What if Diaz hadn't have jumped at all, which he didn't have to do?
It was a penalty, let's keep our gunpowder dry for bigger, more controversial decisions.
Didn't notice Foden being given free kicks everytime they kicked him after he had passed the ball. IMO Diaz initiated the contact, hence no penalty.

The referee's disproportionate application of the LoTG was pretty obvious.

I thought the studs to the knee challenge on Foden looked deliberate, and warranted a second look by VAR. The reverse flick of the boot was totally unnatural; he was never getting the ball. I think half their team managed to get a few sly kicks in on Foden. Totally unprotected by the referee. Our captain should have had a word.

The penalty, all I'll say is it was 'clever' from their forward.

Michael Oliver is a ****!

The amount of fouls not given as if it’s a coming together or play on is a joke. It’s not an advantage & puts us at risk of losing possession.
I thought it was refreshingly good to see.

I’ve been finding the amount of diving this season, most annoying to say the least!

Soft free kicks feel like they’re at an all time high. Bored of seeing players get between the man and ball, slow down, relax their body, get bumped into and fall over. They are NOT fouls. Players need to fucking pack it in. It’s shit, it breaks games up too much, stop-start-stop, boring… get the fuck up and play football!

He didn’t fall for any of it tonight, well done Oliver.

You go on the other forums and every single ref is on our payroll. I find them both fair and infuriating in equal measure. No issues at all tonight.

I’d agree if that’s all the same way. I’m not saying biast I’m saying when it’s a foul & we maintain the ball it’s not advantage & in similar circumstances they were given the free kick.
