Yup. Knew precisely what he was doing. He squares that ball correctly and it's an almost certain goal.

He's a dipper.Just seen the end of the Newcastle v Dipper's game. Game in the balance and Newcastle were breaking with a superior numbers advantage... and Andy Madley blew the whistle to end the game. Weird that.
Last time Newcastle played Liverpool the referee added another 3 minutes on to the 5 indicated by the 4th official. He's a dipper.
Deffo.Last time Newcastle played Liverpool the referee added another 3 minutes on to the 5 indicated by the 4th official.
Had that have been the other end we'd have been hearing about it for weeks, and BBC Sport would have had a poll up on their website.
Deffo.
Funnily enough just did a Google about Madely and the scousers. The first link is the dipper pool echo defending his decision tonight.
:D

The same fairy that told Tony Taylor to ignore Luiz kicking Sergio and not sending him off that Tony Taylor ignored a few years ago.I'm willing to bet the magic VAR Fairy whispered in his ear and told him to end it.
Talkshite would be doing a special 24 hour report on it. Jim Shite coming in 12 hours early to present it.They would be demanding a replay.
That was pre VAR I think, but someone definitely told him to ignore it.The same fairy that told Tony Taylor to ignore Luiz kicking Sergio and not sending him off that Tony Taylor ignored a few years ago.

Whispered…BLOW BLOW BLOWWWWWWI'm willing to bet the magic VAR Fairy whispered in his ear and told him to end it.
Just seen this too.
Sky will have had that on a banner all day long...Gordon was quite lucky he didn't end up with a fractured cheekbone after that. Such a cowardly thing to do and very deliberate with his actions.
I watched Newcastle - Liverpool game yesterday. The refereeing standards were extremely weird to say the very, very least. Look below for a clear example about what I mean. During the game this was reviewed by VAR and determined to be nothing. Yet this was a clear and obvious and reckless violence by van Dijk. He was obviously and clearly targeting Gordon who actually played well and scored one or two goals. Which is why van Dijk targeted him. Refereeing standards in the game were very, very strange and weird. Watching it live and in-game this act of what must be labeled as violence actually appeared much worse because it was very obvious that van Dijk was targeting Gordon the way he was approaching him.
ps I don't know the name of the referee who officiated that game.
Oliver's generally really good as long as it isn't a big game, when it's an important televised match he always bows to the crowd or feels the pressure of the post game match reports so tends to lean towards leniency for the 'big' team. He's one of the worst to get when you're playing a press supported team that uses cheating as part of their tactics like Liverpool or Arsenal as he always seems terrified of having the press on his back for making a decision against a media team so he gives them everything. It says something about the poor intake of new refs that we are considering OliVAR is now a decent match official.
Personally I think it is more complicated than that. As I have written on this website before, it is not at all Liverpool interests and individuals that are controlling/running the English football, the FA, the VAR, etc. It is not Liverpool that is, for example, behind the corruption driving legal cases against Man City. Not at all Liverpool. That's just standard Liverpool refereeing, been going on for 50 years now.
One of his biggest faults to me was not sending Hart off in the derby for putting his forehead in his face.Oliver's generally really good as long as it isn't a big game, when it's an important televised match he always bows to the crowd or feels the pressure of the post game match reports so tends to lean towards leniency for the 'big' team.
