At5twell was awful again today. IMO missed 2 penalties to Newcastle & a red card to Sheff Utd. Also kicking the ball away no longer appears to be a yellow. Alty Taylor also did not bother with the new rule about only 1 standing in the technical area either today. At 1 point there was 3 up in the Newcastle area & 4 in the Sheff Utd. Maybe he is above this type of thing.

I was also supposed to attend a Q&A session with Howard Webb on Thursday just gone. He cancelled this on Wednesday afternoon as had "an important meeting at PL HQ". Ummm

The new rule doesn’t actually say only one person can stand in the technical area.

It says:

“Only one team official at a time is authorised to convey tactical instructions and may remain standing….”

There is no actual maximum number of coaches mentioned that can be stood in the technical area at any one time.

Only that:


“If a second steps forward and starts issuing instructions, they will be cautioned.”

Darren England on VAR for the SHU - NEW misses Gordon’s handball for the first goal and doesn’t get in Atwells ear for a blatant pen for Newcastle? Either clueless or a cheat.

How did Nketeah stay on the pitch after that tackle on the Spurs keeper? Chelsea Gusto challenge iffy red.

Are officials getting progressively worse or following orders from the Webb ****? I think this weekend sets a low bar.

I'm beginning to think that Arsenal game last season against Bournemouth were the game went on and on until Arsenal scored a winner was Webb's eureka moment.
Just look at the amount of injury time put on games that Arsenal aren't winning going into the last minute compared to those that they are winning.
I don't believe large amounts of injury time occur at some games and not at others for the good of the fans as Webb will try and have us believe.
I actually think he's taking the piss by implementing this change to help benefit a certain few.

Jenas publicly apologising for criticising the ref after some respect the ref campaign fwitter account called him out and suggested that kind of behaviour leads to abuse and even violence against refs like that seen when Taylor was at the airport.

Jenas is a proper wet wipe for bowing to this, if that was me I'd be telling that campaigner to get fucked for claiming criticism from public figures is responsible for the nutjobs that decide to take it further. One isnt responsible for the other. Pathetic behaviour all round.
