And yet, your own logic is very weak.
It assumes that the world is likely to be corrupt absent evidence otherwise
You could obviously do with brushing up on your reading skills.
I've not stated that and you're continuing to put words in people's mouths which is a sure fire way of making yourself look a bit of a tit.
Get a fucking clue!
UEFA - very likely against a shit ton of evidence otherwise - isn't corrupt.
Dripping with irony. Ever heard of Michel Platini, the former
president of UEFA? The guy who has been banned from sport for ethics violations and
corruption.
I know you refute the idea of being naive but this is a business. This is capitalism. This is a sport which appoints Sam Allardyce as a national team manager. This is a profession which allowed Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and others to pay off officials for several years. This is a business where employees have been shown many times to place illegal bets on their own teams. I could go on for days but I'm hoping that you're starting to see a bit of sense.
There's plenty of evidence (indisputable proof, actually) of corruption within the sport. The debate that less fragile minds are engaged in is whether or not the official's performance on Tuesday could possibly be yet another example.
Stick to your fairytale world of fairness, equality, candy floss and corruption only being an issue for countries like China and Russia because you won't last two seconds in the real one.
