Regrouping of singers within the stadium

Brilliant idea. Me and my Dad are on the waiting list for level 3 and should have our tickets next season. Season after we would definitely move there.

Can 1894 and City not write to the people in the SE corner and see what they want to do? Not everyone uses social media. Would it be an option to say we are joining the two sections together and asking people to opt out rather than opt in? If it's not on a plate some people just won't take the bait.

Quick points

Away fans get up to 3k split over 3 thin blocks in 3 tiers. They retain ss corner as old bill want them to still use that car park. No other option on the table. Its 80% of a home end better than the 50% we have now.

Cup games. Capacity next yr 54k. Technically 8100 for aways if they were taken up. If the team only asks for 3k they get the normal allocation just as a league game. So no one moves.

If we get rags in the cup and they take 8000 theyll fill.the from.top downwards to.keep singers together as much as possible. So ss 3 holds 6500.you are then talking 1600 more in ss level.2 which will.be the usual block for aways on l2 plus perhaps a few more in the block.next to it ie whole of 214

Either way avoids the sheff wed situation last week where all of ss had to relocate all over the place. It keeps us all together in that end

Does this match what you're describing?

Perhaps but you're numbers make up 9,100.
??? orange = 6,500 + 1,600 = 8,100 - red = 1,000 x 3 = 3,000

It's great that this is building up momentum!

I'd stress to anyone who wants to improve the atmosphere to get involved in this. If you don't think it's good enough at the moment you need to get behind this idea otherwise it will never improve!

A valid point. The SE Corner people should be given first dibs on this area by City and it should be pushed hard by the club.

Plenty of people in there 30s/40s dont use social media and wont be aware of the intentions of the 1894 group.

I think handing out flyers with all the details of what to do would be an advantage to the cause.

Going in local boozers and outside the ground on game day would be a start. Pass them out to as many people as possible.

Just an idea. Keep up the good work. We need this.

So you're suggesting the lower tier would be City only for cup games ? I can't see it, the lower away section will always comprise some of the cup allocation, as its easier for the policing. I would think they would more likely just extend the two upper sections to accommodate cup allocations.

From what I understood it was wearethesouthstand that was saying they had been told that. Disco just put it in picture form.

Please everybody send their details in if you want to be part of the singing block, we need the numbers to make it work.We don't have a big time-scale, so it is important to apply right away.

We wont get this opportunity again, in two years if the atmosphere is flat we will look back at this opportunity that was missed. I'm sure there are thousands who want the singing going, so lets get together.

Flyer may be a good way to spread the word further, thanks DD for the offer of help sourcing.

Difficult to forecast what will happen in cup games at this point and decisions will not be made for some time. But the club are aware and just like us not happy at giving away a large area of vocal support area at cup matches.

No problem Trevor. Your really need to consider the flyer idea hard and also using the local media and getting the club to help as much as possible in this idea's promotion as well as its implementation. Facebook will not be anywhere near enough, and neither will a thread on here. You need word of mouth and a flyer, and accompanying website that all your promotions can link to, can really help that.

The visual website is really important as an anchor point, a crytallisation of the ideas. As people hear the idea, and discuss it on ANY of the City internet mediums...FAcebook, forum, Twitter etc etc then that's what they will pass on to each other. It will promote your idea for you...virally almost.
