Releasing 'The Lockerbie Bomber'

Had a read of the Private Eye article Lockerbie The Flight From Justice today, then this thread.
Some opinions expressed in the thread have a familiar and up to date ring.
And geopolitics remains a cesspit.

Watched the drama on Sky with Firth and the documentary, also on Sky.

I remember it to this day, that event.

Watched the documentary but reluctant to watch the drama. Not sure how I feel about it being turned into tv (they will likely have done a good job of it, it is a personal feeling) and how that might blur things.

They diluted it a lot, and by that I mean the graphic side of where the bodies were found. The documentary had my jaw on the floor in that regard.

Just read on Wiki and (assuming it’s accurate) at least three passengers survived the explosion and were still alive after they landed, albeit briefly. Imagine your brain having to compute that when one minute you’re sat in such a sterile enclosed environment. Absolutely horrific.

Really? Jesus Christ that is unbearable to imagine. The drama did elude to how some were still alive after the explosion and would have saw their fate as they fell. I don’t know how they can conclude that but it was stated that they would have passed out after the initial explosion due to the lack of air, then came round for around 15 seconds as they plummeted.

I really hope they are just theories and, for their sake, they didn’t endure that.

It’s Wiki so caution required.

The captain, first officer, flight engineer, a flight attendant and several first-class passengers were found still strapped to their seats inside the nose section when it crashed in Tundergarth. A flight attendant was found alive by a local woman, but died before help could be summoned. Some passengers may have remained alive briefly after impact; a pathologist's report concluded that at least two of these passengers might have survived if they had been found soon enough.

Link to article.

Having read that article I’m not altogether convinced.
