Remembering Yaya!

I’m just watching the LC final against Sunderland as there isn’t much else to watch.

What an amazing goal by Yaya and as I was right in line with him when he struck it I was running up and down the aisle like a mad man when it went in.

The best City goal I’ve seen since I first started watching us in 1962.

Astonishing goal.

Superb player, let himself down at the end.
So what? Lots of players do.George best is a legend for utd despite his alcohol problems, and letting his team mates down by not even turning up for matches.who gives a fuck what players do off the pitch. When considering pure Football talent ...just look at the player.on the pitch.Yaya Toure is a legend, and the greatest player ever to play football in this country, never mind City..imo.

Would you say Goater is a legend? Because he was shit, really fucking shit despite scoring a bucketful of goals.

Zabaleta is another, doesn't even come close to being one of the best players but he's an absolute legend. Tevez on the other hand is one of the best players I've ever seen but he's a complete prick and isn't ever mentioned in terms of legend status.

You're talking bollocks and trying to justify it by wanting us to emulate what United do, that's fucking embarrassing from a City fan. At this time in the day I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as you've probably had a few too many sherbets.

Cheers.

So....back in the room.Do you think Yaya is a City Legend.?
No, not even close. He splits City fans pretty much 50/50, a legend is someone who is loved by everyone (taking away the odd exception).

Zabaleta, Kompany, Aguero, Silva all the way back in my lifetime anyway to the likes of Kinkladze, Rosler, Goater, Benarbia. They're all unilaterally loved and adored by City fans, that's what makes a true legend. It's not just about ability.

I think I’ve already commented in the thread but too lazy to look back...

On his day, he was the best footballer in the world.
