Remembering Yaya!

Do glad you posted this, what a player, big game player, power , finesse, surging runs and fabulous goals, if his agent hadn’t cruelled it for him he would have been a universal city legend... still a legend for me , that era set the stage fir pep and the present team... loved him

Just watching Yaya on Sky sports. World class goal after world class goal. I know him and his agent can be knobs but what a player and he scored such vital goals. This is just reminding me of what a player he was.

I’m just going to remember the Yaya we know and love on the pitch, unplayable and the most destructive midfield runner (tank) ever... Agents are the scourge of the beautiful game and certainly helped to sully his legacy with us

Would like to put this here.
This clip is 12 seconds long,Yaya starts halfway inside his own half, plays two one-twos,finds a burst of pace that belies his size.He then shakes off a desperate challenge, controls the ball while beating another defender and finishes superbly from 12 yards out and wheels away in celebration, all in 12 seconds!!! The man was a monster and best remembered for this sort of thing imo.....OH....YAYA,YAYAYAYA,YAYAYAYA,YAYAYAYATOURE...etc.

That day had all the credentials of a 'typical city' day, Chelsea had just beat Liverpool and we then had a difficult tie at Palace. Once again Yaya was the man for the occasion, seeing us home

That’s entirely the point ‘a FEW games lazily hovering around’

Fuck me.....even Messi and Ronaldo have off days.
He was an absolute legend but once his agent started dripping poison in his ears he was uninterested more often than not. He simply refused to perform for Pep.
