Repercussions - From the PL, FA, UEFA and within the Club

UEFA won't fine us at least. We're likely the only club to get a solo statement off of Ceferin/UEFA and the 1st one at that. In a weird way City leaving did more to topple this had City never joined in the 1st place (not an excuse btw). Whether it's accurate or not, it's plausible that had City been eager to stay then this whole thing would still be going.

We've done UEFA a massive favour, and if tolmie's right then it sounds like we were in cahoots with UEFA over the last day over our exit strategy. If there's one club UEFA won't penalise it'll be us.

The FA and the PL will do jack shit.

Internally within the club, I'd be shocked if there were any repercussions.
The clubs were flying a kite - albeit the media and public affairs teams should have seen the eruption of anger that would result. We'll never know whether City joined to avoid being left out or to trigger a cleansing of the evils at UEFA.

City fans gagging for points deductions, title stripping or relegation are fucking weirdos.
To be fair a 10 point deduction for the 6 would put a few clubs’ champions league qualification in jeopardy, while leaving us still some wiggle room at the top!

Seriously though, there needs to be some punishment. The 6 can’t just swan back in after nearly destroying the game like nothing happened.

Already been said but the whole business model across all Europe needs regulating and finically resetting. Fuck this super league shite, it’s COVID which should be used as the catalyst or if you want..excuse to drive through reforms, most possibilities have been mentioned but a proper transparent plan needs to be agreed at UEFA level then sent through all FAs pyramids, with an agenda that has no interest in protecting historic institutions and past glories. It should also expend equal energy time and investment on grass roots.
Sad as it sounds but our own pyramid needs totally reviewing recent history has proved that for too long just because your a football club plying the trade of the countries national sport you can grow or fail with a degree of tolerance not availed to normal businesses and organisations. The classic examples at each end of the spectrum being Bury and Man U

Well since most fans think this move was a crime against the very fabric of football itself. Surely some severe punishment would be appropriate? If such punishment arrives at our door I feel bound to accept it even if you consider such people to be fucking weirdos.

Spot on, that just further punishes the fans once more

I would be happy with UEFA to start actually taking control back of the game - they have just announced the reformation of the CL that protected the cartel clubs, well for a starter they can scrap that idea.

Remove all protected privileges that UEFA so willingly gave away over the decades to these clubs

There does need to be some form of punishment - what that is I dont know. Maybe a transfer ban ?

I thought the CAS case was the messiest saga we'd ever face, this might just top it. When the dust settles and the ESL disbands officially, we could be facing sanctions along with the 12 that signed up. Would you agree this could be likely?

Points deduction from league
Suspended season from CL

Now for the more difficult conversation - should someone be held to account in our club - I assume Khaldoon is the man that will be in the firing line. Should he step aside?
There have to be consequences for the owners - not the players and supporters in the form of points deductions. No idea what form that could take though.

I wouldn’t complain if forced resignations and a ban on the executives involved were implemented.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the authorities got together and said;

’We understand your financial problems. Here, let us help you with a 12 month transfer ban.”

Most fans are simply dumb, do they ask why clubs are behaving like that is there any sport where players get paid a hell of money in order to to be competitive that a clubs runs on deficit?even borrow money to pay those players tweeting today?

Imagine where we would be without him. He's asked absolutely nothing of us ever, I refuse to believe fans are so spoiled and moronic to believe we could survive and thrive at this level without him it's Pure fucking fantasy !
I think it was one big miscalculation of the fans backlash over ESL which if i'm honest he was probably in turmoil joining but felt if UEFA collapses through it where does that leave us.
