Repercussions - From the PL, FA, UEFA and within the Club

Somebody who knew very well what they were doing. By putting that name to that statement it was saying look who's responsible. Nobody at City endorsed it by name. No further social media posts. No additional statements.

The Glazers are toast. Woodward is toast. The big powers within uefa are no longer in their position. The leader of Uefa now looking at us in a completely different light. They are not perfect but it looks like they will work with us now not against us.

A brilliant outcome. Revenge couldn't have been sweeter even 'if' we'd planned it.

can I have what your smoking? Sweet revenge where we’ve dragged our club through the mud and destroyed any form of trust lots of fans had in the club. City putting a statement on our site by the glazers - great idea. We should have done it earlier

great plan.

I keep hearing and reading from many quarters that the "Big 6" should be punished: docked points, bans, fines etc..

Where was the punishment when Everton, Liverpool , Arsenal, Spurs and Rags signed a deal with Greg Dyke and ITV to form a Super League in the 80's?

Where was the punishment when 22 clubs told the Football League to "Do One" and create the Premier League?

What about the G14 clubs with their yearly threat with UEFA?
You make a fair and valid point but the reaction to this event appears to have deemed the proposal as belonging to a dimension of far greater magnitude. I wonder if current 21st century culture and social media have something to do with it?

I'm not going to enter into a debate with someone who clearly can't fully grasp the complexities of the last few days. But as I have been called worse in my time I can live with your insult.

Oh dear. How patronising. I’ll be equally so :-
I understand at least as much as you but I also have board room experience and understand the choices that sometimes have to be considered.

Deep down I feel like we were dragged into this whole mess because we were damned if we did and damned if we did not!

City were reluctant to join but thought they could be left behind after all the years of working on the team to get where we are now. I am not trying to defend anyone here but I am looking at it from the point of view that if this happened 10 years or more ago, we would have never been invited to be part of the ESL.

Our owners have changed the club upside down and helped us become league winners, League Cup winners, FA Cup winners, top 3 team and CL semi-finalists. And we are debt free!!! So they were really in a corner cause they could have or couldn't have predicted the backlash!

So now this opportunity comes which most probably City does not need financially but they were also worried to be left behind if this goes through! I want to believe that City was dragged into this and were surprised with the sudden announcement and they asked them" Are you in or are you out? "

I also feel there were alot of fake promises given about the whole ESL that turned out to be non existent! This was supposed to be a replacement for the CL and City is if not the only team that has been screwed over many times by UEFA over the CL and FFP and all the other crap. So maybe someone thought we can finally get rid of UEFA but they didn't think of everything else

Sadly the the damage has already been done and I am sure the hierarchy are scrambling to fix everything now. But the fact that we were the first to exit the ESL means the people on top realised they messed up and were quick to back out.

I don't think there will be any points deduction cause its not fair to punish the players, coach and team for the actions of a couple. We might get a fine and some sort of restrictions to avoid something like this happening again.

They messed up, they back out of the mess, they will definitely make amends and they have to apologize to the fans first and foremost, then the players, coach and all the staff cause they let them all down. Then we move forward.

For me a lot of the celebrating from fans, such as the Chelsea supporters acting as though they've won the fucking champions league is way over the top.

The greed and money from football hasn't dissapeared, it's just been parked temporarily.

Unfortunately there is no " magic formula " where success and money aren't combined .

We want to watch City playing great football and being succesful means that the players will be well rewarded.

If it makes you feel better, look at the rag players and the wages some of them are stealing - and I give you Anthony fucking Martial as a classic example , and Mr Pogba , and several others.

Some rumours, which I take with a huge pinch of salt, that points deduction and ban from cl. I don’t believe it but you know what social media is like
So if the super league teams are banned from the Champs League what is there to stop them arranging midweek friendlies against each other and streaming online with lots of new sponsors........It'll actually be the super league but by a different name!

That also wouldn't tie in with UEFA welcoming us back in only to then go and ban us.

Any punishment by the Premier League would be counterproductive.

Personally I'd like to Khaldoon deliver a speech similar to what Henry has done today on Liverpools website... ultimately he is responsible for the negative press that we have received, whether it was planned or not... to be contrite and apologise would be a fine starting move and I'm sure Khaldoon as more than enough credit with City supporters to accept that why the club were associated to this farce of a plan

Cant see City or the the other 5 teams getting a points deduction or a CL ,ban it would be counter productive, all six teams or s big draw in the prem and in Europe.
