Anyone know anything about Iker Muniain(forward) from Bilbao?? Just seen his name pop up a few times. I agree with the comments tho...a guy like Jovetic or El Shaarawy who can play wide and up front as the lead striker would be a nice replacement, or even Higuain...just hope we have a plan!!

Well according to the papers it's going to be neither Cavani or Suarez. I'm fascinated to see who we line up. It looks like it could be an unfashionable non-marquee signing but hopefully a well scouted one capable of scoring goals whilst being able to correspond to our style of football... Soldado, Jovetic, Yilmaz, J. Martinez, Bony... who knows!

we need to go all out and make sure we get suarez,he may be a racist,cheat and bite people but he scores goal and wins matches on his own. benteke is far from a high enough standard to play for us, hes a good target man for a team like villa but can you honestly imagine him trying to lead the line for a team that plays tiki taka possession football and attempts to dominate games instead of counter attacking

He's not an out and out striker. He plays on the left. Can probably be made to play more inside but not fully up top.
Plan B for Isco for me, he's class!

I really hope not. All forgettable, average players you'd see linked with the likes of Newcastle and Villa. From Super Mario and Tevez to this? I thought our plan was to become the best?

Soldado, Villa, Jovetic, El Shaarawy, Suarez, Benzema and Higuain all seem decent replacements. Although Villa is getting on a little and I wouldn't want the Suarez baggage. I can't see us signing another big target man like Gomez as then we would have one small player with good touch and pace (Aguero) and 3 big target men (Dzeko, Guidetti, Gomez) in a team that plays possession football without proper wingers and relies on close control and speed up front. Also, after missing out (probably) on Isco, I think we'll try to sign someone who is comfortable on the left (Jovetic, Suarez, El Shaarawy, Villa). So if I was a betting man, I'd go for Jovetic but you just don't know atm.
