Re: Reports that Ancelotti deal agreed
That read like it was written by some schoolgirl who has been carried away with too much of Wuthering Heights.Summerbuzz said:Does anyone like crappy translations?
Ancelotti Shock:
He will leave Real.
The Madrid heirachy think they will hold onto him, but he has already signed with City.
Maybe he felt the wind blowing in a certain direction. A cold, bitter wind, right in his face. A wind that howled, 'Win the Champions League, or you're out'.
That's how it is. Results count, but even more so in Madrid, where losing is simply unthinkable.
Or maybe he'd already felt a change in the breeze, and decided to get out of the way before the storm arrived - We understand he made his decision a month ago.
And now that everyone expects Madrid will give him a pass, Don Carlo will leave quietly, without slamming any doors on the way out (c'mon, this is Ancelotti....)
Where is he going? Manchester City. There is a signed agreement. Nothing binding in itself, but a definite step in a definite direction. Adios, Madrid. Goodnight and good luck.
The details will emerge in the days to come, but you can already imagine what Carlo will sit down to; A veritable feast, an all you can eat buffet, where almost everything is on the menu. Maybe his first choice will be to stop Yaya leaving?
And what now for Madrid? A ship sailing on the winds of discontent, headed straight for the rocks - without a Captain in sight.
Hence, the Madrid press rapidly softening their stance on Carlo. Hence the new tack - 'Ancelotti, old pal. We always believed in you. Nothing's changed. We sail on together'.
But that's not the case. Something has changed - Carlo.
He is not an impulsive man. He is assured, self-contained. He takes a balanced view.
Even without the media whipping up a storm in advance, he must have known being knocked out of the Champions League would be the signal for the deluge, one he would not survive. Time would tell....
...But no. Instead, as soon as it happened, he spoke out. Tired, ragged, unhappy, even angry, a few pointed sentences suggesting he'd had enough.
A serial winner, in the Champions League and domestically. Off to City, without even knowing in what shape he will find them.
