Results went our way in the "Carabao" tonight....

Would you rather Liverpool or City won the league cup?
City, of course - every time. Win every game; every trophy. I love what we've almost grown accustomed too.
I've lived through 44 years of utter shite so I would never refuse the chance to win a trophy.
But, with respect, that isn't the point of the OP, though I appreciate that the question suits your argument.

If you’d want City to win then you’d have to agree that winning it would outweigh any negative impact of extra games. Ergo, Liverpool winning tonight didn’t go our way. Put the straws down and clutch onto your pillow instead.night night

No no no!
I'm not going to spell it out for you again.
Nite nite. I will clutch my pillow tightly, as I always do, my friend

This season I'd have to say Dippers seems as we are out of the competition. If we win it then football is fucked.

League Cup is nowt to do with us now, if whatever happens puts more pressure on our rivals then that's a bonus.
I for one wouldn't mind the pressure of winning trophies.

Having our night off and Liverpool and Chelsea have both progressed into the semi final, giving them extra games in early January when Afcon is on; covid's still about, and Chelsea and Liverpool both have to play each other and Chelsea come to the Etihad in early/mid January. Add to that Leicester fluffed it from 3-1 up at Liverpool before losing on penalties gives Brendan Rogers a hell of a job lifting his shower of posers for the boxing day game against us.
All in all, a great night.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
First time in the Pep era that it hasn’t been us with the busiest schedule. It bodes well for a glorious end of season.
