Return of Supporters

Worked out really well on the 12.55 train to Watford. Had more space on a train journey than ever before.

Nice to see the young lads who played the earlier rounds on the train as well there and back. They can now see how the fans are expected to travel.

Well I'm not happy, the air conditioning on the coach was on cold and we had to ask for it to be turned up. There was no trolley service for coffee tea etc, there were some road works, why didn't City get them cancelled? (well it doesn't seem the same when no one is moaning :-) )
On the plus side for the first time in 10 visits I could get into the bogs at half time.

Just got in, great day and great to see a lot of familiar faces. The 10.20 down and 19.29 back were without doubt the two ‘wettest‘ dry trains I’ve ever been on :)
Now, now we pride ourselves on our honesty.

There was nothing in my ticketing/travel details that prevented taking alcohol - they just weren't serving it on the train. I'm guessing to discourage frequent trips to buy said alcohol from the on board shop.
Clearly a lack of awareness that City fans would bring their own to avoid being fleeced by Avanti.
Great, well organised, and sensible day out

Pulled into yellow car park and was £30 to park, lads card machine wouldn’t work so he walked me to the machine and 2 of them were on the blink, he said “ forget it mate it’s fine “ lovely little bonus to start the day :)

Was a quality day all round. Was surprised that we were allowed to sit pretty much where we wanted in the ground with no hassle. One thing that does need to go is facemasks in seats, bizarre that you have to wear them after having 2 negative tests in the days before and just made the stewards job a nightmare.

Most people seemed content to wear their mask. It was a very small price to pay to be able to watch City. Non-mask wearers were constantly reminded by the stewards - but no-one got thrown out. They took a pragmatic approach to make it a real world trial of opening up events. Hopefully there will be no covid cases to be linked to at the match and larger trials can take place.

I was on the 10:20 out of Piccadilly, was well organised I thought, asked to stay in your seat you had been allocated till you had your ticket then free to move it you wanted to.

I went in to the ground quite early so was really easy getting in, show your Negative test & ID at the bottom of the stairs on Wembley Way. Once in the ground the stewards were quite hot on making sure people had there masks on. I was sat back row of the lower tier & lad next to me, who missed the first 10/15 mins, within about 5 mins had been warned to keep his masked on & told he'd been reported. Unfortunately he didn't choose to heed that advice & about 10/15 mins later he was taken away by Stewards and never came back.

My one gripe is that the 10:20 train return time was 7:29, which I always felt was cutting it fine. Managed to see the lads lift the trophy & then thought i better get a move on. Good job as well as there was delays on the tube on the Metropolitan line so had to go via Baker Street back to Euston Square. A quick jog round to Euston & i made it on the train with about 3 mins to spare. They held it back till 7:45 to allow people to make it on but they announced that we had to leave no later than that & there was 10 people who missed the train that had gone out on it. Hope they let them on the later service.

Also they announced on the way back when talking about how this was a test event etc... that apparently 2 city fan's had sold there tickets to 2 Spurs fans & they was trying to board the train at Piccadilly & was refused. Not sure if any one else heard anything about that?

Overall it was great to be back in a ground & watching the boys, a bit of history for those lucky enough to be there & hopefully the majority behaved themselves so we can get on to the next step of 10000 in for the Everton game

Did the same trip.Well organised and allowed alcohol on the train. It was a push getting back to Euston for 7.29 and they allowed an extra 15 mins for late arrivals.Managed to see us getting the trophy but feel more than the 10 they announced missed the train.Great day all round well done to everyone who could go.

I was on the 11:55 out of Piccadilly. All went very smoothly. For some reason they were directing people to the tube rather than the overground. Made the right decision to ignore that and was at Wembley Central with enough time to spend over an hour in the JJ Moons pub garden on Wembley High Street. 20:35 train back and home for just after 11. Missed the first 20 minutes of the full match repeat on Sky but saw enough to have my piss boiled by Tyler and Neville repeatedly going on about the yellow card that wasn't.

Hi Guys, Leicester fan here, congratulations on the victory yesterday! I am hopeful to be travelling down to the FA Cup Final in a few weeks.

For you guys lucky enough to get a ticket, how was the new 'COVID' matchday experience?

How was the process of actually getting in? Where stewards pretty hot on checking COVID tests matching the names on the tickets etc?

Was on the 10.20 going out ,very well organised .Absolutely no problems .Knew it was going to be tight for the return journey. And so it proved.
Got to the gate at 19.35 ,but the gate was shut, the train was still there ,but they would not let us through.
Disaster ,nope ,the organizers just took our names and put us on the next train to Manchester (20.00 Hours ).No dramas what so ever everything went like clockwork. Got to Piccadilly minutes after the 19,29 train.
Fantastic organisation. Thanks to everyone involved

It was a lot better than I was expecting. Had to show ID and the text to say I had a negative lateral flow test upon entry and that was it. Had to wear your mask at all times other than when eating and drinking and they were quite keen on that. Didn’t seem to check the name on my ticket against my ID, we’re more interested in the test. Considering capacity was much reduced the queue at the bar was still shit. 6 quid for a warm can of bud. Nice to be moaning about Wembley catering again though!

Yes mate, they certainly checked my test result and photo ID and were keen on masks. It was very well organised and pretty quick. Obviously with greater numbers you will get bigger queues. But from my perspective it was as good as it could be, helps when you win of course.

Getting in was dead easy. Much easier than usual due to 80,000 other people not being around. Covid checks for a full stadium would need a much better system.
