Why would anyone want to go to a 1/4 full ground with no away fans

mindboggling
I used to go to platt Lane just to watch them train pal , in the eighties main road was mainly half full never stopped me from going mate . I don’t see what difference it makes I go to watch the team not the away fans .

I have just posted a comment in another thread that people may want to read, but I will post similar comment here so that as many people get informed of the issue as possible.
There are many questions still to answer, but in my opinion the club is unnecessarily removing the benefit for seasoncard holders to use their Seasoncard seats for other people. This does not comply with their terms and conditions.
This issue needs to be raised by the supporters that it will affect.
I have attached file / images again here to explain the issue and how it relates to the existing terms of the Seasoncard.
It’s likely that there could be a large number of Seasoncard holders affected. There will be impact on family group members and in particular for supporters who work away from home or cannot attend and have a Seasoncard that is used by others at home.
If you agree that this is an issue that should be addressed, and in order to get the attention of the club, then I would be grateful for supporters to report it as a problem through any official supporter lines of communication to the club as they can to request adequate consideration.
thanks for your attention, LOL

There's one major problem with your letter Mr Barrack Room Lawyer. The terms and conditions have been overridden by a requirement on all PL clubs that, for Track and Trace purposes, only the named seasoncard holder can be allowed to attend a game. Now I'd hope that, in time, once we see how things work out, we may be able to relax that restriction, subject to meeting any requirements around Track & Trace. But for the moment THAT REQUIREMENT OVERRIDES ANY OTHER. Capice?

But until there is a relaxation, you can quote whatever you like - the Seasoncard T&C's, Magna Carta, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Gettysburg address, the Gospel of St Luke - but if you're not the person named on the ticket, you ain't getting in.

Agreed, while I would like to see away fans back asap as I like to travel away myself I accept it's just not practical at the moment. Over the years I've probably watched as many City games in half-full grounds as I have in jam-packed ones.

On searching I cannot find any information on what you say. Please confirm where you have seen the requirement stated.

As no one has a season card at this actual moment one would assume that the club are allowed to change the terms and conditions any way they like? They have our details but no actual cards at present. Therefore when we are allowed back they can implement whatever conditions they want/or are required by law or the government so I’m not sure what the problem is? In fact there isn’t a problem is there?

I'm working with the club on this and have been doing for the last few weeks, via City Matters. There's a 90 page document been sent to all clubs by the SGSA, which has been agreed by the DCMS, the SGSA and other relevant parties. It's on their website & sets out guidelines for getting fans back into games. It specifically states that tickets can't be passed on outside your social bubble and that the club has to have contact details for anyone attending. I think most would see that as reasonable under the current circumstances.

It's possible that there could be some flexibility in the situation where it's father/mother and U-16 as they're in the same social bubble. We haven't yet discussed how the ballot will work for familes. But if I normally go with a mate and he's not in the same social bubble, which he's unlikely to be, then that won't work. Much will depend on the restrictions in force in any one area at any one time, which complicates things further. West Ham & Spurs may not have the same constraints that City or United have with respect to lockdown rules. So it's got to be that the perosn who turns up is the person the club is expecting to turn up. But the club can't be expected to know who's in everyone else's bubble, unless they're at the same address of course. So they have to apply a set of rules that may seem unnecessarily restrictive but ensure that they're meeting the licensing conditions for re-opening the ground and are easy to enforce. Because people will take the piss otherwise.

The first match allowed fans will be Rags V Dippers.

I can just feel it.

I have found the SGSA guidelines and there appears to be no such restriction as City are stating. In fact the text refers to people booking for others and the requirement for the track and trace information that is supplied by reference to supporter number as under family group. So the club has no justification to change te terms and conditions of the seasoncard for track and trace.
Arsenal conditions for 2020/2012 membership are published and unchanged, same as citys terms and conditions.

Until you can tell us where you got your requirements from then it has to be treated as fake information.
