Return of Supporters

Are you thinking Showcase are going to check do me a favour.

They are a bunch of idiots who just get £30 for a days work
I don’t think it’s right or fair to brand anyone an idiot who’s prepared to do a days work for £30.
If I was unlucky enough to lose my job and it meant earning a few quid for the family,
then I must be an idiot pal . It
doesn't make low paid people idiots mate.

Hope those with family’s sharing tickets can be accommodated ? it’s these people with the young ones who Get my biggest sympathy in all this. My daughter has the city bug and we’ll just have to patient with it .

Hi, Prestwich Blue,
I understand very well the need to comply with the developing conditions and also the need for ID.
I pay for two S/C ,one in my name, one in my sons name.
Due to work pressures, sometimes my son cannot make a game, & my wife uses his ticket.
If as you set out in your posts this is not allowed, this cannot be right. There has to be a protection built in where someone from the same household can use the ticket.
Look at it like this. You and your son are customers (for want of a better word). You have a contractual relationship with the club. Your wife isn't a customer. Under normal circumstances she'd use the ticket if your son can't. Strictly speaking that's against the terms and conditions of your season card but we all do it and you're not depriving anyone of a seat really.

But now there's only going to be 15000 tickets maybe. You might be lucky enough to get 2 in a ballot but your son cant go. Why should someone who's not a customer get the chance to go under those circumstances? Because you could extend that argument to say " Why can't my mate use it?" Or "Why can't my neighbour's brother-in-law's cousin (who's never been to a game) use it?"

It's the same argument with away tickets. Why should someone who doesn't have the points and may not even be a customer, get an away ticket because someone who did have the points got them one? Which means someone who did have the points and wanted a ticket might have been denied one.

But what we don't yet know is how City will work the ballot. They've said the person named on the ticket must be the one who uses it but they might say you can apply for 2 tickets and have to let them know who the other one is. Or they could say that only people who are on the database, so that's you and your son, can get a ticket.

So my view is that if there's say 12,000 tickets for season card holders, only season card holders should get them. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

With the number of people dieing from Covid (4 yesterday) the risk is minute. I for one would return at the start of the season, no problem at all.

But what we don't want is a second wave. It's decimated lives, business etc. Whilst I'm retired from club football now, I doubt I'd go until it was back to normal. It just isn't right.

Great idea, some will lose out, some will benefit more from it.

Can certainly see some of the same people still managing to go week in week out.

Soon see.

Great news for my parents who can defer their season ticket for another season (both in 60s and ones battling cancer) but whether they bother going next season in the round robin i dont know.

I suspect that there are a lot who have the same issue and pass on seasoncards to friends and family. Although it is against the rules contractually and the club starts to enforce this then I can see a lot more blue seats on view especially in the Family Stand in future.

Test events in September with half the October capacity some clubs have announced.

I.e. If a club is allowed 16000 under level 3 protocols in October they may have 8000 for their last September game as a test.

I agree with you there.

I guess a lot of the responses depend on how we feel about the governments reaction to the virus, unclear and not consistent at all.

I think the clubs are getting a bit over optomistic, the children have not yet returned to school we'll have to see how that goes first and the Gov have not said yet if spectators are going to be allowed. With the local lockdown still in place it's not going to happen any time soon.

Brighton to host a test event on Saturday. 2500 capacity, able to book seats together but there has to be a spare seat between all supporters. Photo ID and a working mobile number are prerequisites.

One thing, you dont have to wear a mask whilst sat in your seat, surely that is when you are spitting whilst shouting and singing, these rules never make sense,it is nothing bad to have to wear one then,so why not?

There's sweet fa in government guidance about having to have a photo ID. Name and contact details yes. Photo ID, no.

So who's insisting on having to have a photo ID to attend a game, the club or the PL?

You were saying....

Can someone please link again to anywhere where i could get photo ID from, when i have none at all (and therefore getting your first one is problematic). The official gov age ones that only cost £15 are suspended due to the virus, so i have been struggling to find how to get photo ID, esp when it may be needed before xmas..
Again this isn't a dig, i genuinely am struggling and any tips are welcome.
Thank you :)
