Return of Supporters

Are those questioning the clubs requirement to insist on QR Code usage aware that its a legal requirement not a choice of the club?
Are you absolutely sure about that?

"In England, you do not have to request details from people who check in with the official NHS QR poster, and venues should not ask them to do both. Venues must not make the specific use of the NHS QR code a precondition of entry (as the individual has the right to choose to provide their contact details if they prefer)."

I won’t be going back until everyone is back. Part of my reason for going is catching up with the same hardcore blue faces who have been sat around me for donkey’s years

Exactly. IMHO the whole thing with getting supporters back into stadia is a charade. Until we can ALL go back then I'm not in the least bit interested. The thought of sitting in an almost empty Etihad doesn't have any appeal for me. Rather sit & watch it in the comfort of home. I don't think that the people making these decisions really get what it's all about for the great majority of match goers.

I've been to a few non league games, and on they're ticket requirements, they ask for NH QR track and trace and must wear face masks.
But when you get there, nobody is actually bothered about either requirements.
So i guessed it must be a legal thing they have to promote, just to get the game on.
Having said that, the Prem league i imagine will be a lot more strict on these matters.

Klopp & Arteta both confirmed that even 2000 fans made a huge difference.

glad you don’t want to go - more chances for the rest of us

I think those making the decisions currently have more pressing things to think about.

Of course It is your choice not to go back, but many fans want to go back watching games and many clubs in the pyramid will be reliant on the income. It is a long way from perfect, but a start and I am not sure what you would expect the authorities to do, not open until the stadium can be full again?

Good for you, crack on.
But dont arrogantly assume that your personal situation and decision for going back or not is in any way more valid than anybody else’s. Because you might have phrased it badly but that’s how it came across

It’s not ridiculous when the integrity of the competition is potentially compromised

So you think having 2k fans in a stadium a couple of weeks before other clubs compromises a sporting competition, but not the fact that clubs wages/transfer budgets can vary by over a 100 million a year?
Football has had imbalances for years, and of all those imbalances this is a pretty trivial one.

The professionals involved all said it made a huge difference. So I’ll listen to them, thanks

But it was fucking Freezing in the ground, but we had a really friendly warm bar near where we stayed not far from the ground

Very much so. Just about defrosted on the tram back into town, then totally warmed up in a cracking pub near the market.

Didn’t mean anything offensive mate. Was joking. I’m not the arrogant type - from Wythenshawe, salt of the earth & blue through & through.

Didnt think so pal, like I said probably just worded the wrong way.
Some people have lost close family members during this shit so you can understand why some might be reticent to return.
For me, I haven’t, but I won’t be going back until I can travel and meet up with those people who make a day at the match all worthwhile
