According to reports Manchester City is in negotiations over Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.

Montolivo has a year left on his deal with the Italian club and has turned down the offer to settle a new deal.

La Nazione claims Montolivo's agent, Giovanni Branchini, was in London yesterday and met with City manager Roberto Mancini.

Branchini is hopeful of seeing a deal taking the midfielder to Eastlands for £13 million.

It is believed that a swap deal involving Aleksandr Kolarov is also on the table.

Ineteresting about Kola, if he went then Coentroa, Baines Bale etc could be on the cards. Who would be back up Bridge (shudder) Cunningham (not good enough/injured). Would strenghten the case for Vertonghen as he could play there as cover but perhaps we are going for the best and a specialist.

Ohhh shit...i have heard from other people that he is injury-prone. And is a bit like Aquilani. Good passer but i have my doubts if he would settle in the premier league pace.

There are rumours that Juve and Inter are also tracking him...i dont want him here!!!

I dont want Italians...they aren't great in the PL. Swap deal with Kolarov? WTF....are we going to ship out every player we sign after 1 year.

Yaya can do it but Montolivo is perfect.
