The Thread to say Good luck at Villa, You have been a True Blue for Many years, And i for one believe you didnt get the chance to Fight for your right to play. I did state earlier on another thread i think it was a good move for himslef and i still stick by that, But after watching his interview i feel for him to be Honest. He clearly never wanted to leave

Thanks Dunney

CTID

All, the Dunne threads so far attempting to wish Dunney good luck at Villa and thanking him for 9 years of wearing the City shirt, have been taken over with attempts to demean his City career, lets hope this one can be successfull.

All the best Dunney except when you play us.

this.

His comments criticising the club or members of the current staff have left me feeling a lot less warmth towards Mr Richard Dunne.

One of his great attributes was his dignity but this seems to have been abandoned since he left City.
dignity was what he was asking for. He does not appear or look like he wanted to go. So maybe if like him you where forced out of a job you liked and where willing to fight for your place you would just walk away silently. ? Me i would go kicking and screaming and tell anyone who wanted to know. ;-(

For all sundry purposes Dunne was found lacking and wanting. To move forward, his continued presence doesn't dovetail with City's Blueprint i.e. to forge a winning culture.

Yes Dunne deserves better thats why he is at Villa rather than at Galatasaray and with a golden handshake. Dunne should not look back in anger else he will burn his bridge with those at City that stood and support him and gave him a chance to get back on his feet.

Garry Cook is doing a perfect job and so far his impeccable dealings (signings & transfers) for top EPL players (field proven & ready) are ahead of schedule. Its his job, thats why he's hired, not to be sentimental but to be professional in his dealings.

Thats why, Dunne, its not personal. Remember no player is bigger than the club.

why all the silly colours....it just detracts from what you are saying

I'm disgusted at the way Dunne has been treated. Yes it was time for him to go but there are ways of doing it and someone who has been a loyal and for the vast majority of times a bloody good player he deserved better, i doubt for one second that Dunney is telling porkies.

No wonder he wanted a pay off from the club if that was how he was treated.

All that has happened is that he has been sold, and he hasn't been given a testimonial. Not sure how that could ever be described as disgusting behaviour on the club's part. You need to be at a club 10 years to get a testimonial. He wanted to move to Spurs last summer but a fat new contract talked him round. He had a very poor season last season. He got sold to a decent club, who probably upped his wages again.

Good luck to him - but all this moralizing is just a load of hot air...

Good luck to him, he has gone, time to move on we have enough new players to warm to. Get over it who gives a shit.

I agree with what you've said Billy Shears. I like Dunne and he had some great games City but I laugh when I hear about this "loyalty", as if he was doing City fans a favour. For this loyalty he was paid an awful lot of money.

Been busy all day, and have just read the Daily Mail article. Have to say there's 2 sides to every story, and there's truth in both. But if what Dunney said was true about Garry Cook, then it's probably down to a personality clash, and what Cook sees as a "mis-fit" in the way forward.

Kinda got some sympathy for Dunney on that - uprooting family, kids, house-hunting, education whatever, especially if you didn't want to go. Talk of balancing the books smells of bullshit to me though.

Wonder how much time Garry Cook's got ?
