Richard Dunne.

I've said this before but hes unlucky he plays in such a high risk area, if he played DM and could pass he'd be absolutely brilliant.

Im sorry mate but this is nonsense. He is not the only centre back in the Premiership but he is certainly the one you can look to for mistake after mistake! One or two mistakes/own goals could be considered unlucky but when you reach the number Dunne has then its down to being poor. I echo the sentiments of the OP but will put my point across a with a little more oooomph......CAPTAIN CALAMITY MUST GO!!!!

He doesnt deserve being stripped of the captaincy and being put on the bench, he isnt the sort of player who would perform well anyway playing the odd game here and there, he needs to play every week.

If he's deemed not good enough for next season he should be sold.

great post totally agree also the extra pressure the team as been under this season is no good for him love him to get his testamonial

great player. great captain. end of.

had a average season just gone. but i'm sure and hope he'll bounce back this year, and prove a few idiots wrong.

all the 'fans' on here who slate him should be ashamed after all the top games he's had for us over the years.

Good post, while I'm not convinced he is good enough for where we want to be, I also don't want him to be ignominiously stripped of the captaincy and left on the bench. Hopefully he can find a new home over the summer (Sunderland) and we can find a replacement who is slightly less accident prone and is a decent passer of the ball. Would like to see an audacious bid for John Terry but I guess that would be unpopular on here and extremely unlikely.

Not really. Cos he played well in the past should not mean he's above criticism. The fact of the matter is he's been an absolute liability all season, bar about a 5 game run at one point. I used to say Dunney was a wealthy mans titus bramble, on this seasons form bramble is a rich mans richard dunne
