That's the point though - maybe he doesn't want to 'share' to that extent. Lets face it, there was no reason to take him out of the team after Stoke. Like you say, maybe it was done to give Boateng a chance to get up to speed in the league, but maybe Micah looks at it and thinks "hang on, I've been dropped for no apparent reason". I've no idea, but my point stands. Before Arsenal he'd not played in the league since the end of November. That's not rotation, that's being dropped...

Maybe he has a point, but he's still played AND there's absolutely no reason for him to go to the press over it. He won't go to a bigger club because a) he'll have to sit it out on the bench and b) we wouldn't sell him to one anyway, so he'll just turn into a Glen Johnson where his flaws are obvious and hold him back, he had been making good progress in solidifying his game up a bit.

The thing about these players is they want to be players AND also want to manage the fooking team!! maybe Micah also wants to assist Bobby and his coaches in picking the team,selecting tactics,deciding diets for the youth team...its a classic case of me,me me-or the tail wagging the fooking dog...and lets just say micah does start to play every game, ie every game through the xmas period and then picked up an injury due to playing with fatigue..would he thank Bobby then for being overplayed and losing his place in the team?

Maybe Micah should just stick to his contractual duties for Manchester City Football Club-play to the best of his albilty, when selected.

I like Micah, think he comes across really when interviewed on the OS,a really nice lad, but perhaps he has been badly advised here.

Micah's on a much smaller contract (relatively speaking) than most of our first team squad and therefore would be a much more attractive proposition to buy than say Lescott or Bridge for example..

£50K a week which puts him out of range of quite a few Prem clubs. Like you say, he'd be easier to get rid of than Bridge or Lescott but it's still a hefty wage for a player who's development has stagnated since he was 17.

I see totally what you're saying...I'm just speculating, but I don't think MIcah would be talking about leaving if he'd been tapped up by Villa or Everton...my gut tells me that either Liverpool or Chelsea have made it known they want him. Whether he's good enough to cut it at either place who knows...he's certainly got the potential, but you're right he has pretty much stagnated (some would say gone backwards) in recent seasons...still I really like him and have a soft spot for him.

Again, just my opinion, but I get the feeling he thinks he's third choice behind Zabba and Boateng...

If he values playing every week for some lower club and getting his England place back over winning silverware with City then that's his choice, it seems a bit daft but I don't have a problem with it, losing Richards won't in any way prevent us moving onward and upward. I imagine Mancini told him any player who isn't happy here can leave but it'll be on our terms so off he goes to the media to advertise his availability.

The only bit that bothers me is bringing other players into it, similar in that respect to Nedum's $ky interview, I wonder if they share an agent.

You dont rotate your right back from game to game. The simple truth is he's better than Boateng and there's no reason to believe he wont stay better as both are pretty much same age.

How can you judge Boateng when he is still adjusting to the league and still regaining fitness after injury? He's also playing out of position.

I'll admit I've not been impressed with him but it's unfair to judge a player after so short a time. Evra was dogshit for his first few games and look at him now.

Richards benefited from a full close season break, followed by pre-season training. no world cup and resultant fatigue/injury to deal with like Boateng.

Like I've already said I can understand why he wants out. Boateng needs game time though and it's hardly like Micah has made the position his.
Micah has had plenty of opportunity to shine and only has himself to blame for not becoming a regular starter.
