West Ham would be a good move for him, as Allardyce has a bit of a reputation for reigniting players' careers (certainly whilst at Bolton).

Think we'll do well to get a fee of any note for him though given his contract situation, unless we refuse to let him go on loan but that could be self-defeating. £5m would probably be a fair deal in the circumstances.

Can't see us getting £5mil mate - I reckon we'd have to subsidise his wages as well for a year to the tune of approx £20k per week to get him to go. We'll prob get £3mil for him.

But a loan deal? We must have no cash offers if so. Someone on KUMB contradicted these saying it could be a £9m (LOL!) permanent deal.

Unless they structure it as a loan deal with more to be paid at the end of his contract.

That puts him at 31. Yeah he could play longer but that is getting near the end IMO for someone with his injury history. Probably should have said 5-7.

Nah you were right first time, he'd have to put some effort in to carry on past 31.

The only criticism I think is fair of meeks is his expectation he should be getting more football thus why he turned the clubs offer down, for him to think he should be ahead of zabba is nigh on delusional given their past couple of seasons. You have to question whether Micah has the stomach for the fight.

Not interested in the fight ...seems to be more about the money and celebrity, hence his career is going backwards

Manchester City are ready to call the bluff of defender Micah Richards and let him run down the final months of his contract.
The Citizens have placed an £8million valuation on the head of the powerful right back and are refusing to budge from it.
Richards and his camp were hoping City would blink first and lower his asking price with the summer transfer window set to slam shut at 11pm on September 1.
But the former England defender may now have to lower his own wage demands to force through a late move with the club prepared to play hardball.
The 26-year-old earns £70,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium and is looking for similar money due to his relatively low market price.
However, the type of clubs currently interested in the player can't sanction the total package involved, with Hull City and West Ham United both having loan offers rebuffed.
