I remember a rag in work saying we were just a bunch of denim wearing Status Quo fans from Stockport.
Cheeky twat I thought but it made me laugh.

So I emailed him this classic.

My Dad loved them and followed them all over. I grew up with their music and absolutely adore their stuff up until 1975. Some of the coolest blues rock out there. Sad to see him go as he was a proper gent when I met him

Christ; another celeb gone. 2016 has been some year. Rick had a couple of heart attacks, IIRC. Great band, and I don't think they took themselves too seriously.

1st single I ever bought. Even on a shitty portable it jumped out at you and rocked compared to listening to a tinny little radio.

RIP Rick and cheers for some great songs to drive to.
