He will as they don't sell shirts.I'd rather he ignored all our players TBH.

He must be a bloody good agent to have pulled the wool over Pep's, Hugo's, rest of the coaching staff and of course the board itself. Or, they just think he's worth it.A shining example of the value a good agent to a player.
He'd have been a big “sell” for me, yet here is for another 5 years.
Oh well, got to be someone else we can move on.
Zab was a Worldie. And so is Rico :)Would have been ok had he left but more than happy he's staying.
There's no need for a squad full of worldies, every team needs a potential Zab in the squad.
Rico was already better than Walmer his last 2 seasons. We dont need a Walker replacement. We hadn't had prime Walker for 3 years. And we won the league in 2 of those 3. We'll be just fine.Happy enough that Rico is staying. The club still needs a Walker replacement. Maybe not possible and we will go with Rico and nunes. The laters role is under pressure now.
Someone has to leave…
He is and has always been a right back.Nothing against him i just don't think he's good enough to be s starter in any of the top 4 teams, as a squad player maybe he's worth keeping around, he's no right back and he's behind so many in midfield so if he starts 10 league games i'd be suprised.
I always find it interesting when folks point out he struggles in games in which everyone struggles. He's a big asset as long as we are dictating and controlling games and struggles when under heavy pressure. Pep has most likely learnt from this and will play him accordingly.
Akanji, Gundo and Kova are the prime candidates.Very happy he’s staying, excellent squad player.
My question is this, if Rico is staying and Savinho is staying but Pep wants to work with a smaller squad, who’s going ?
My thoughts exactly. Not a massive fan of where he is at football wise but in fairness he loves the club and just backed himself for a fight.
Gotta applaud that.
My thoughts exactly.
I’m neither a huge fan or a hater, but I’ve got enormous respect for his spirit.
I think we will end up with a squad of 24/25 players:
3 Goalies - James, Bettinelli, (either Eddie or Ortega goes)
7 Defenders, John, Khus, Dias, Josko, Ake, Ait Nouri, Rico
(Reis and Wilson Esbrand - loaned, Akanji sold)
13 midfielders, Cherki, Reijnders, Bernie, Gundo, Oreilly, Gonzales, Oscar, Savinho, Doku, Rodders, Phil, Kova, Nunes
(Jack, Echeverri, Naypan, Phillips loaned, McAtee sold)
2 Forwards, Erling and Marmoush
Thats 7 home grown which leaves us with 18 foreign players Khus and Savinho qualify for our B list so from a pure sticking to the rules we shouldnt have a problem. Then its how Pep manages those numbers and keeps them sweet.
Personally, I think that gives us the strength in depth we need whilst we have a core of John/Josko/A-N/Rodri/Reijnders/Haaland for the most important games whilst fit and the others rotate/play cup ties/lesser PL games.
Sorted.
A full dustbin with only one wheel would be better than Phillips. He's got to be more useful for us than Phillips.
