Rik Mayall

Such a shame great comedian.
Loved him as Kevin Turvey R.I.P.

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of his mockumentary 'The man behind the green door' do they?
Been looking for it for ages since I lost my copy.
Perhaps it will be repeated now.

A Part of many peoples childhood died today. I remember seeing the trailer for the Young ones and knew I had to see it, from then I was hooked everyone would be buzzing at school the next day it was a phenomenal show.

Although he'll be most remembered for the young ones The new statesman and Bottom I don't think I ever laughed as much at anything as Mr Jolly Lives Next Door with Ade Edmondson and Peter Cook, true genius.

RIP Rik thanks for making our childhood funny.
I cried with laughter watching Mr Jolly, Rik at his best.
Now, pissed from Norwich....

Devastated, the man was one of my heroes.

So long Squatting Neville, tonight I'll be playing pin the tail on the fridge in your honour.

The Bottom live show is still to this day one of the funniest things I've ever seen. RIP.

First I ever saw of him was in Blackadder probably 15-20 years ago (american, a bit late to the show). To this day Flashheart is one of the most outrageous and funny cameos ever. It doesnt seem like it should but his presence just takes it up about 10 notches. Since then I've fallen in love with the Young Ones and Bottom. RIP to a true comedy genius gone too soon.

Went to see Hooligans Island and the Weapons Grade Y-Fronts Tour, both of which had me in stitches!

As someone else mentioned it was like a kick to the stomach when I heard.

RIP Rik

you will be missed.
