Ring doorbell

Have a look at the eufy doorbells on Amazon, there's no subscription and it's pretty much the same thing, also connects to Alexa.
I got one a few months ago and it's been bang on
Can you connect it to more than 1 phone ?

Love ‘em. Have front and back doorbells plus floodlight cam on the garage. Fostering slightly dodgy angsty teenagers at least lets us show the police what time they left and what they were wearing when they go missing ;) can be run without a subscription but 90(?) quid a year to keep your footage isn’t terrible, plus if a scrote nicks /damages it the image is still available. If you get too many alerts look up setting the trigger area, nice and simple, have seen some wildlife on them too.

So I’ve installed this piece of shit for her. Her router is on the other side of the house and the doorbell notifies us if someone presses the bell, but the motion notifications are sketchy at best.

I have all the settings as they should be. Interestingly if I move the bell inside near her router it notifies us of motion immediately. Wondering if the distance, and the fact it’s outside, is making the signal hard from the router?

Any ideas? She has some shit sky internet and I’ve looked at getting her the top notch virgin one but wondering if the issue with distance and the wall will be the same?

One of our neighbours who installed a Ring doorbell complained to us that every time we left our front door, he gets an alert on his smartphone. I politely suggested it is illegal to have a Ring doorbell that is focussed on a neighbour’s entrance, and asked him to change the location. I don’t know if he has changed it but I got into the habit of giving a friendly wave every time I get up early to bring in the milk or put the bins out late in the evening before bin day. I was tempted to get up in the middle of the night to look at the full moon but I resisted.

Haha, what does he expect, you not to leave the house?

We’ll need pics to see if she’s fit enough to justify all this fucking about mate.
