That will already be one of the perofmances of the games, to beat a 23 year old world record by that much is unreal.Unbelievable race! 4 women under 30minutes, Ayana breaks the 23 year old 10km world record by 14 seconds, what a performance!

Have to say Ireland won there first medal in the rowing 2 Brothers the O Donovans first Olympics and a Silver medal great rowing and in a great race too.
The suspicion is that there was a 23 year old world record. Most of the female world records have not been broken for two decades or more because of the doping that went on at that time. Thank goodness one has gone and let's hope that it has gone to a clean athlete.

Yeah, thats the way i'm taking it as well. Natural progression eventually catching up with those records, although theres a few that are a long way out there.
