He Played a big part in changing the shape of English football by kicking the rags/Arse/dipper axis of red evil off their collective perches and paving the way for the sleeping giants of Chelsea and Manchester city to find a place at the top table once again.So sad. I’m sure we will, he was a well respected footballer and best friends with one of our best ever managers.Very sad news. I imagine Chelsea fans are gutted too. Hope all blues are classy and respect any tributes paid to him at the match on Sunday.

Once again one taken too young - always came across as likeable and not big headed at all. Somebody recounted the story today of once when he was subbed off at Chelsea in the 2nd half, sat on the bench and sparked up a ciggie lol - a one off - RIP Luca

Knew he as poorly but was shocked to hear of his demise , excellent footballer and he came across as a decent fun loving guy in interviews , 58 is no age , the BIG C claims another , R-I-P and sympathies to his family and all who knew him.

It's a ludicrous habit/addiction. However, this isn't the time or place for lecturing. Vialli always came across as a sound fella. My thoughts are with his family and friends.Both were smokers unfortunately. An utterly pointless way to take years off your life expectancy.
