Nice piece in The Guardian saying that when he knew he wouldn't die of old age he told his daughters that the secret of happiness was to "not put on airs, listen more & talk less, laugh often and help others."

Both were smokers unfortunately. An utterly pointless way to take years off your life expectancy.

Shit happens. My mother in law drank Special Brew and smoked all day long. Lived to her late 80s. Life's a ****.
