RIP Terry Hall

You could bring out Ghost Town now as a new single and it would fit our times now.........progress eh?

we are a generation that will never forget what our youth lifestyle was like in the late 1970s, early 80s under a Tory government with Margaret Thatcher the leader, music was the only way of speaking out and people like Terry Hall and the Specials wrote our feelings,

Rest In Peace, Terry Hall. you made our lives worth living and giving us hope we can be better

40 years on this also is as fresh as a daisy - the link? A Tory govt ruining the country

What a shocker.

Been part of the musical landscape for a long time.
Didn't he live in Bramhall (near Jah Wobble)? Bit of a Stella Street going on there.

RIP.

so, essentially you are saying we have to thank Thatcher for creating a cultural cauldron?...

RIP Terry Hall..has anyone songchecked ''tunnel of love' yet...loved that record.

truly outstanding band, bands like the specials and the jam and many others was a voice and way of putting two fingers up to the Fat cats that call themselves a government

I was thinking more on the lines of blaming them for the damage it did

I heard he lived in New Mills for a few years. Don't know about Bramhall, though.
