RIP Tony Book

Again the lyrics really hit home, they always do at times like this.... Bell, Lee, Doyle et al.

"maybe in another generation....."

really makes me reflect about what a great club we've always been and Tony was an intrinsic part of the fabric as @mackenzie says above.

.... and still Sky don't consider it to be newsworthy..... everyday I am becoming more aware as to why I despise the moneygrabbing arselicking twats.
Yes, that quote from the song is very poignant at the minute.

The BBC have now made this a main story on their football page:
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/ckgr0ely6geo

Thanks to whoever it was at the BBC who made this happen. Thoroughly deserved.
I would think that after all the complaints they must have received they had to do something.
I complained at 12.15 and I know others who complained a little later, quite a few before 12.45.
Absolute disrespect from the BBC. Disgraceful.

Absolutely gutted, a true City legend. One of his friends I got to know when Tony and his friend's and their wives used to drink in the same bar as me in Tenerife messaged me to tell me today. Sadly they are the only couple still complete and coming over to Tenerife.
They were all a lovely friendly crowd and it was an honour to get to know Tony so we'll, a truly lovely bloke.
Rest easy skip, your many decades of service to our great club is now over.
