You know people looted damaged buildings during the blitz, right? Now like always, most people are civil and a minority are pricks. And now like always, people look back to this imagined past where kids were more respectful, language was correct, people listened to proper music...

When we were growing up as kids in Mossside, we were shit scared of coppers. Those were the days, when a clip round the ear from a bobby was all that was needed to put you back in line.

Talking back got you a second clip and a walk to your front door

Then when they got you home, your dad would also give you a clip round the earhole to make sure that you'd got the message.

Different circumstances. A modern society in a country where food is plentiful v a war ridden country with food rationing.

I appreciate there are good and bad across the whole age spectrum, but there is definitely a worrying trend amongst the younger population.
