Rishi Sunak

If you watch what actually happened, you’ll realise that you’ve been scammed by a bit of fake news, and an entirely disingenuous piece of editing by Sky News.

Sunak didn’t walk away from the lady he was talking to, he walked alongside her and continued with the conversation.

Seems your hysterical reaction was misplaced.
Ha Ha you're funny :)

Brewster thinks this is somehow putting Sunak in a better light

Anyone objective watching this, particularly the longer version, wouldn’t have a problem with the exchange. He spoke to her, shook hands, end of story.

All that’s happened is that you and the usual motley crew on here have worked yourselves into a frenzy on the back of a bit of fake news.

You’ve all been manipulated, chiefly because you can’t wait to jump on a bandwagon and hate people that you have a different opinion to. You do it all day, everyday. And because you can’t accept that you’re wrong - and, by the way, that I’m right - you now have to deny the reality of the situation and manufacture a fake grievance about something that frankly didn’t happen.

Good grief. Listen to the presumably local Tory woman at the end, "We're about to put a billion pounds into the NHS in Winchester" - which turns out to be "up to £900 million in the NHS across Hampshire", most to be spent in Basingstoke (which "may" get a new hospital). So patients and NHS staff in Winchester are worried about moving services 20 miles away. A petition to keep the A&E at Winchester already has around 15,000 signatures, with residents voicing concerns about the danger to life, the distance (30 minutes on blue lights) and how patients and visitors will be able to travel to Basingstoke (not least as Southampton is nearer).

And Sunak claimed the junior doctors' strikes added 150,000 to the waiting list. Where did the other 98% on the 7.75m waiting list come from? Some of that will be from operations cancelled because junior doctors have sacked off the poor pay and conditions in the NHS and gone off to work abroad.

Do carry on if you think you can win an argument with Labour about the NHS. I look forward to your updated list of "40 new hospitals"...

he laughed in her face when she asked him why can't he make anything better then turned his back and walked off when she started to tell him about her daughters wait in A&E. He turned round when he realised how bad it looked.

His campaign style will be of the Maybotic style - I expect him to try and dodge meeting people as much as possible.

And in your haste to defend the poison dwarf you have not read and heard about the SKY clip. Its not been edited up - as SKY News said it was captured by an off duty cameraman so it ended where he got his last footage - the longer version is from an ITN crew who were on duty covering the walkabout.

I’m fully aware of the Sky / ITN issue.

The Sky clip was misleading and provided an inaccurate portrayal of the discussion; it’s shouldn’t have been aired given that they were aware of it being incomplete. People on here reacted to it with the usual hate and abuse because, frankly, that’s what they do. Even when the more complete footage became available later in the day, they refused to change their tune.

Had the more complete footage been aired from the start, nobody would be talking about it. Now we’re in a situation where you’re pushing a manufactured grievance because you still can’t accept that the footage aired first was misleading.

The moral of the story is that people shouldn’t let themselves be consumed by hate, because when they do, they lose the ability to look at things in a rational light.
