....when in fact, Jesus was originally supposed to take it, then the message came from the touch line via Mendy that Riyad will take it. Mahrez even pointed to Jesus as to say he is already taking it where Mendy insisted that he needs to. Imo whoever decided Mahrez should take it is to blame. Jesus was clearly looking forward to taking it and was disappointed not to where as Mahrez didn’t want to take it but had to. Shocking decision.

What was surely more shocking was the penalty itself??

Riyad is indeed better than all our (Leicester’s) current wingers. However Leicester actually are a better and more balanced (no longer lopsided) team without him, having successfully replaced Riyad’s output with a combination of Maddison and Pereira who are both class. Not taking anything away from Riyad though, he is brilliant but wouldn’t allow Leicester to play the way we now do, with highly attacking fullbacks (Chilwell + Pereira). We’d still be playing Danny Simpson.

The penalty was shocking but Peps decision was even more shocking as he clearly didn’t know just how bad Mahrez is at penalties. That was a fuck up.

He’s hardly come in as our best player but he’s scored a bag full and got a fair few assists already.

You think he’s worse than Lukaku at £75m? Or Benteke at £35m? Considering how inflation has gone up rapidly since those transfers?
