If Pep didn't use his most expensive signing in the club's history, who will he use ?

Our subs unfortunately didn't improve the team at all today.

Says something when your record signing struggles to get a game. He may improve in his second season but really the fee we paid should have gone to strengthen the positions that really needed strengthening. Mahrez was always a luxury signing and he has not fit in well with the team.

Question of trust, and I'm not entirely sure he has earned Guardiola's.
 
Could end up being what Zlatan and Gotze was for Pep at Barca and Bayern at this rate.

I thought he would have been a decent addition, however the more the season has gone on I wonder if there was a reason he stayed at Leicester as long as he did after winning the league with them.

Scouts questioning something??

If he was an elite player he would have been snapped up within a season, not two. Just as Kante was.
 
Were there other suitors for him? Like Chelsea with Jorginho, de Jiing with Barca/PSG, van Dijk with Pool etc?

Or it was only City trying to bring the price down to 60m? Fuck that they were asking for 75-80 at first I guess and after long negotating we just brought it down to 60m.

Every I see him playing he just looks out of sync with this City team. For record signing he should break into the the team in style instead of hoping from coming in from the bench.
He is not a young player and has serious PL experience. That two thing should have been a factor for hitting the ground running.

He offers something different than ooher players but not sure we need that something different. We need something extra which he doesnt offer tho.

Lets hope we see much more from him soon because fuck me we wont be able to sell him for anything above 30m imo. Especially if he gave him a high salary.
