Riyad Mahrez - 2018/2019 performances

1) He played 88 minutes of the CL QF. Not mentioned. He was rotated and had good output vs Watford and Bournemouth. Him and Sane were subbed out about the same time vs Swansea. it looks like he lost form after Christmas and was struggling to get back until around the Bournemouth game.
2) The Daily Fail journo said this in the article title I found: "Forgotten man Riyad Mahrez threatens to quit Man City as he complains about a lack of opportunities". I read the contents of the article and all I can find is this: "The £60million summer capture has been an unused substitute in each of City's last three games at a crucial stage of the campaign. And Sportsmail understands Mahrez was making his displeasure known around the club's City Football Academy training centre for some time prior to that." and that's it.
So, he is basing a huge claim that the player is threatening to quit on the premice that his Sportsmail (a person, a group?) understands that Mahrez shows some displeasure around the CFA centre. In fact, I refer you to the interview given by Mahrez on the official site on April 17 where he gives a totally opposite statement.
3) You're right. I forgot the Palace game.
I'm not sure why the idea that our fourth choice winger might be upset about not playing in many games has struck such a nerve. Seems eminently believable to me?

PEP @Mahrez22 will be with us next season, and the next one and the next one. I don’t need to speak with him - he will be with us next season. He knows and everybody knows there’s competition in the squad. He is happy, we are happy.
Well what does Pep know anyway? I prefer to trust the Daily Mail.

He really needs to up his game,as in all honesty most have been average. He was certainly on the top of his game at Leicester ... but its up to him to show Pep and ourselves that he is worthy of more playing time.
No good moaning, show us what you`re capable of, or is it too much for you ?

So many of our players have been mildly disappointing and inconsistent in their first season only to be much improved in their second. Arguably half our best 11 would fit that description. Its down to Peps methods more than anything.

There is no reason not to expect a Sterling, Bernardo like rise from Mahrez.

Mahrez is going nowhere ...

Guardiola said: “Riyad Mahrez will be with us next season and the next one, and the next one."

Pep's statement is much much much more extreme and detailed than what I wrote in the quote above. Apparently, Pep does not believe the shit laid out by this "reliable" Jack from the Daily Fail.

To those who were telling us in the preceding posts how reliable this Jack Gaughan is, will you be now suggesting that Pep is lying ?
