If we could get 45 mill for him it would be incredible but the reality is that we would get nothing like that. I can see a season long loan move next to get his book value down further before we offload him for around 15-20 mill at the end of it. There is nothing whatsoever to suggest he will be any better for us next season than he has been this one.

My points is that the fans have been critical of both. I certainly wouldn't compare them, David has been here for many years and has earned hero status.
