I wonder how much that penalty miss plays on his mind? If the league is lost because of that I suspect he'll be off pretty quick.

He did score the winning goal at Spurs to be fair to him.

It won’t be one moment that costs us the league should we not win it. Losses against the teams at the bottom will be much more to blame.

He did absolutely nothing to make a case for more playing time when he came on today. His form has nosedived as the season has progressed and I would question if he has what it takes to become a regular in our team.

I think it's an all or nothing scenario with Mahrez. Either he will buy in to the work rate and the team dynamic and absolutely run riot, or he'll have another 10 sub appearances and cup games before fading away and getting moved on.

One thing is certain, we could definitely use 2016 Mahrez if we're going to win a lot of trophies this season. He could make the difference in the latter stages of the CL if he shows up, and it could literally happen any week now.

I like Mahrez and I really thought we were going to see the best of him, I thought those two goals against Cardiff would be a turning point but that feels a lifetime a go.

I saw nothing today to give me confidence that he gets it. He came on for Kev and I watched him carefully as he was very close to us. I wish I could say he worked hard but he just doesn’t. I watched particularly to see how he found space and compared to Gabby and Raz he is pretty stationary. Didn’t demand the ball. Just meh.

His first touch is incredible, but based in what I’ve seen he isn’t nearly strong enough.
