It's simple, he's pissed because we valued him at £50m in the summer, he was performing excellently and naturally his value and the market went up. Yet he still expected to go for the same valuation.

Well it works two ways. He can come back and techincally live up to his contract and go through the motions. At that point you are paying 100,000 a week for a player that won't play and destroys the locker room. It was Tevez's major tactical mistake. He came back and played hard. Mahrez doesn't have to do that to get his weekly paycheck.

Good point - i think Mahrez has now taken this latest incident with Leicester extremely personally & may follow suit as Diego Costa. The financial fines & implications in his mind are meaningless compared to what seems numerous broken promises made by Leicester's board.

Surely Leicester should have expected/predicted this outcome as there will always be a tipping point with an individual. This could get extremely messy for Leicester if the situation is not resolved soon, especially as now mental awareness is becoming more prominent in society.

Can’t blame him for staying AWOL until after we play them, his head isn’t going to be right to actually play us in his first game back. I’m pretty sure he will appear again once he can’t be selected against City.

Depression is a very serious issue. Has he said that he’s suffering from depression or that the situation has made him feel depressed? There is a big difference.

Sounds like you could be on to something. Arsenal were similarly unobliging with Sanchez in the summer. I recall Conte spouting on about other clubs should do all they can so City didn't get a player (can't remember if it was Van Dyke or Sanchez). Maybe there is a concerted effort to stop us.
