I'm sure one of our resident Bayern fans will be able to confirm, but from what I've seen he seems to have been fully fit for most of the season. Certainly didn't look like he was flagging last night.

I don't think he'd be too expensive, though wages will obviously be high. And he's still a moaning twat who could upset the changing room. But he's also quick, direct, effective - essentially everything we're not. Whether as an impact player or not, for me, he'd be worth the gamble (assuming we don't/can't go out and get a Bale).

He missed as usual most of the first half of the season (only 8 starts in all competitions from August to December. It's been that way every year since he joined Bayern, out for month before the winter break, healthy after.

Yes. In the second half of the season he is always very healthy. But it is then when it counts. And he certainly would have played even more than the 8 matches in the first half season wouldn't it have been for the others playing that great season. He really had problems to slip in now and only did it really because of Kroos' injury.
