Robinho is the reason Adebayor, Tevez, Barry, Lescott, Given ect are all here.

I would be gutted, no devastated if he went.

I disagree - if he was that influencial then Kaka and Eto'o would be here.

You can argue the reasons why those players left their clubs and choose us but I doubt Robinho was too influencial in any of them.

Complete rubbish.

But we have Barry, De Jong and Kompany for that position. We have SWP and the untried Weiss for that position, therefore with Messi easily being able to cur in from the right, that is where he would fit in, obviously at SWP's expense. We don't need anymore defensive midfielders.

Take your point. But maybe he sees Toure as a far better player than NDJ or VK? Not saying he is just that might be Hughes opinion. Maybe he sees VK as a centre half, or Barry as a left mid.

I'd just be disappointed if we got a bit of money and a player I personally don't think we need, just to offload Robinho. If we get £30m for him then fine, no worries, or even Dani Alves and £15m i'd be happy with.

I would be more than happy if we signed Ribery as a replacement for Robbie should he decide he wants to go to Barca, i think the trade with Yaya coming to us is the most viable solution as it eradicates the need to put a particular price on Robbie's head so to speak - 10-15mil plus Yaya would be good enough.

imo Yaya is up there with Essien as the best of the "destroyers" in football at the moment, Nige could well elevate himself to that level over the next year or so but it is worth bearing in mind that Yaya is a beast and is well capable of playing central defence should the need arise.

Personally though i expect City to go for Aguero, his price if memory serves me right is 35mil and assuming we are in the top 4 at Xmas then there is no reason he won't be happy to come to us when we have Carlos and Mad Zab to keep him company.
