Van Persie will complete his move to #MCFC within two weeks. Fee of around £22m. Contract worth £225k per week already agreed. #AFC

Btw how many times was tolmie right with something really exclusive? Like... sorry, but three or four different people said RvP 225k p/w was agreed 4 or so months ago.

I'd prefer to trust TH & Danamy rather than Ian McGarry

But how many can afford him ?

My money is on Real Madrid, AC Milan or PSG in that order

Real wants RB, CM and a winger. AC can't afford anyone, PSG maybe. Juve possible too.

Don't want him, don't need him:

1) he's a snide git who's spent the last 2 years slagging us off
2) he's 29 and would have no resale value - an important consideration thanks to Twatini and his FFP
3) we've already got 4 top quality forwards
4) a centre half and a winger with pace are all we need

I'd give him a big wet kiss for pissing Arsenal's army of City hating whingers off though!

"Scientists have announced that they have discovered a new form of Seasonal Affective Disorder that has been shown to occur in the summer months, contradicting the normal chemical workings of the human brain. Researcher Gunnar Bemad stated in the recent London press conference "we have found a significant number of people suffering from a mild seasonal depression we are calling Arsanull's Syndrome, after a pseudonym given to patient zero, which seems to occur almost exclusively in London and parts of Central France. We are working tirelessly to identify the root cause of this condition but preliminary findings seem to indicate it may be an easily communicable disease. We have also observed a higher intensity of symptoms in those already suffering from high expectations or thoughts of grandeur. We will release more information as we are able to study the condition further."

If we sign RVP I will be seriously concerned.

1. We already have 4 class strikers (5 if you include Ade). Adding RVP will mean we have 5 which is just stupidity at its best.

2. We aren't anywhere near as desperate for a forward as we are for a winger and another centre mid.

3. He's getting on.
Let me help you out mate,
1. don't Inc Ade,
2. Tevez could fuck off if his tomatoes don't ripen in time,
3. we need someone with champs league experience,
4. I expect we will be involved in longer cup runs
5. Balo is still a liability
6. RvP is fuckin quality and will be used less than he currently is.
Firstly why not include Ade ????? We are paying his wages of over 100k a week we can't just forget him you complete tomato. Add to that nobody fucking wants him. Again an example of someone who think it's football manager.

Secondly, Balotelli is not a liability as he proved rather well towards the end of the season and at the euros.

Thirdly, all of our strikers have plenty of CL experience having played in it for many seasons ?

And finally even IF tevez does decide to be a **** again we stand to make another 10m, so it's not a disaster.

Balotelli proved he was not a liability towards the end of the season? He missed 5 out of the last 6 games suspended.....

Might go and see what they're saying on arsenal mania. I bet they're furious. Peirs Morgan has had a shit fit on twitter

1) No worse to Tevez who based on number 3 I'm assuming you want to keep him
2) Same as when we bought Yaya but we haven't looked back. Van Persie will push us on in the CL which means he will pretty much pay for himself
3) Really? Aguero Yes, Balotelli cant be relied on til he matures, Tevez cant be relied on unless he stops changing his mind every 6 months, Dzeko has hardly been ripping up trees since October
4) A winger is a must agreed and cover at the back too. From the points in 3 surely a striker is needed too

People need to relax. The club is no longer being run by half witted dinosaurs. They know what they are doing. Deals will have already have been done to accommodate any incomings. If rvp signs then by the time the season starts it will all make sense. If rvp does come to city he will not be earning more than the striker he will be replacing, infact if tevez goes we will be financially better off. My gut feeling is that all our current strikers will stay at city and rvp will go to Italy. Whatever happens though we can trust the judgement of the club.
