Couple of things..

Firstly, why do these banners that are held up - sometimes by adults - all too often look like they were knocked up by an illiterate 5 year old kid? Take that plank holding up the "Why Always We? 20" placard at The Swamp when the Rags went 4-2 up against Everton - fuck me, what an embarrassment.

Secondly, why put something together in the first place when these banners all too often come back and bite people on the fucking arse? For examples, take this one plus the aforementioned **** at Swamp Towers.

That was the first thing I thought of when the final whistle blew against QPR, I remember thinking at the time that 'that sign sums you fuckin wankers up to a tee and I hope it comes back to bite you', and it fuckin did lmfao.

I suppose it started to bite him about 20 minutes after he held it up when Pienaar made it 4-4! (Obviously we still needed to go on and complete the job but that result kicked the door wide open for us) Some seriously mental scenes in Walkabout in Wolverhampton town centre when that went in - made the celebrations for our goals against Wolves later on that afternoon mild by comparison!

i remember at portman rd when we go relegated, some twat stuck a board up(city your the weakest link byebye) that stuck in my claw for years. i still hate ipswich to this day,and im 64 now.

I remember that Ipswich banner vividly. Less than 12 months later we were back there and dicking them 4-1 in the FA Cup. Went on to get promoted while they went down and haven't been back up since. Another banner that backfired badly!

on the way home from ipswich, the fucking car broke down about 50 yards outside john majors house in huntington cambs, what a fucking day that was. yes i,ll always hate those bastards even when im dead.
