I was only flying a kite about balotelli and AC Milan.

AC Milan have sold their best 2 players, and they need something to lift their fans. They are backed by a very wealthy owner who will at some point try and sign Balotelli. Imagine the impact Balotelli had on Italian football over the Summer. He might conclude that now would be the right time.

Up to now all the focus has been on whether it will be Dzeko or Tevez to make way for any incoming transfer of RVP. Hust speculating on a small chance that the Italians might look at Balotelli

RVP to City wont happen unless City sell a forward.....that's not speculative

To sell Dzeko for RVP is really stupid idea imo.

In term of business, to let Dzeko goes and buy RVP would be the most stupid transfer mistake in the club history imo. Dzeko cost 25+ m. while RVP will cost 20+- m. as well. Dzeko is younger, fitter, and has higher resale value while RVP is injury prone, reaching 30+, has very low resale value, and will come with higher wages demand as well.

For footballing reason, I can't see what 1 season wonder like RVP will improve what we already have in the squad atm as well (note: another injury prone 1 season wonder like RSC is still at the club too.).

We already have 4 top strikers in the squad and everyone seems so happy enough to stay to fight for their places as well. I really can't see the logic that someone at the club so desperate to bring another top striker to the club while the positions that we obviously lacked, as we learned from last season, were those in midfield and centre back though.

One season wonder lool. Please watch this video from the season before where he had 19 league starts and 18 goals and 7 assists. Truth is he is the best striker in the league and easily the most creative striker. Van persie creates and assist more than any other striker in the league. Watch this video from the season before....he's great player to watch

I get what your saying, but if we bring in RvP and don't sell Edin his stock value will decrease due to the fact he will feature in even less games than the season just gone.
So decision needs to be made now or in the next window to maintain some value for him.

my mind goes back to a time of walshy for creaney plus cash, ahhhhh happy days.

The strikers we have are good enough to win the league, they just did it.

They did it last season with Tevez missing for most of it, Dzeko in and out of form and Balotelli getting sent off, banned, benched etc.

To give them all another season together makes perfect sense. Imagine how good we could be with full season availability from all 4, plus they are all a year older, a year better. Balotelli could "do an Aguero" next season quite easily.

If we sold any of Tevez, Dzeko or Balotelli for Van Perise, we risk unsettling whoever is left, plus we have to let RvP bed in, learn his role, let him have his tantrums and try to over power Mancini in the dressing room.

All for what? maybe 1 or 2 good seasons.

Its a no brainer for me. NO THANKS.

All we need is a Barry/Pizzaro type but better/younger (unless Milner can step up). A Mr Midfield dependable and MAYBE a winger, even though we dont really even play with wingers and we have AJohnson.
