"Brian marwood has torn up Manchester Citys plans to sign Van persie leaving him to sign for Manchester United." via @FootballAgent49

take it for what its worth, a grain of salt
Pinch of salt, and what the fook does 'torn up' mean?

Brian Marwood says Bluemoon is exerting too much pressure on him,and it's affecting his decision making processes - he said give me a few weeks to sort it all out and everyone will be happy, even Bobby Manc.We are PL Champions 2012,only the 5th club to win this trophy.

Marwood would not be able to do such a thing without agreement from Khaldoon - think its bollocks myself

Of course it is,Marwood is an employee and does as he's instructed,i believe his influence is hugely exaggerated.

We won the league tied on points.

Van Persie was the most influential player in the league last season. Didn't he gain them something like 16 points?

So who is comfortable with him going to rags? Strategically, it's borderline suicidal.

mirror says he's staying and signing new contract
Daily mail is saying he's off to man u together with lucas and lewandowski

fair to say neither know whats going on and is just guesing at this point

He is ether coming to City or staying at Arsenal in my opinion.

I just cannot see Fergie putting a 29 year old on a three to five year contract with 200k wages.

I personally do not want him, however, RVP going to the rags is suicidal on our behalf, if we are pulling out I hope he just does a u-turn and signs a new contract at Arsenal.

I think RvP improve the rags more than us but equally we cannot simply buy players to prevent our rivals buying them

Our strikers are as good as anybodys

The real issue i think is that rags are clearly imptoving the team and the squad whilst we are standing still a little

We need a top midfield player to partner Yaya and we need another centre half - sadly i am also coming around to the conclusion that we need an AJ replacement

And if we have pulled out of the RvP thing or Marwood has torn up the deal whatever that means lets hope its because Higuan is coming

I don't think another striker will be coming in if the RvP deal fails. I think Higuain is a smokescreen, as we had been linked with him in the pas and which could get Rvp thinking. If van Persie goes to the rags, it will improve them, but it goes against their current buying policy.

think higuain is such a long shot, no way would madrid sell him unless an absurd offer can in which they could maybe use to secure neymar

The more the RvP saga rumbles on the more it feels like Sanchez last season imo. Early on we are favourites. Then it's United, then a n other foreign club. We all know how that ended up. Just feels like we've been here before.

Yeah but it's also very reminiscent of the Nasri saga and we all know how that ended up too :)

Not this.

RVP gained Arsenal extra points because they were shite for much of the season. Plus he had the season of his life, never to be repeated IMHO.

Next season he will likely spend half of it in the physio's room like he always does. And he won't get the rags an extra 16 points because they aren't garbage and they have Rooney to bang I the goals, which sadly he does rather well.

Plus, we don't need RVP and he's no better than what we have. I am not unhappy if we don't sign him. I'd far rather we spent the money on a Yaya backup. When Yaya is not playing we look lost.

With the rags signing just about everybody according to the press...will they concede they are trying to buy the title back ?
