Dzeko could score as many as RvP but it'd mean a fundamental change of our style which could in turn mean certain other players not performing as well. Dzeko is just a jigsaw piece that doesn't quite fit perfectly and we'd have to change the jigsaw puzzle itself to get the very best out of him. Which is probably Mancini's logic behind going for van Persie, one in who suits us more, one out who suits us less... but if Mancini is the one who pushed for Dzeko then he messed up in the first place. Still, if we keep Dzeko he can guarantee goals, just not as many as he's capable of and as we saw his all-round game is somewhat lacking in the style we play as it's too technical for him.

Fair enough, but just calm the fuck down. Big Ed's a nice guy, but remember what they say about nice guys and where they finish. He contributes, but those countless chances that went wanting last year HAVE to be put away this year if he's to solidify his place at the club.
