It also means if what I'm hearing about RVP is correct then Juve will still be looking for a striker.

I can see them returning to us for Dzeko, they've already made enquiries for both Dzeko and Kolarov
so is it 100% on then mate or still just a possibility ?
Strange thing is I'm not bothered if he doesn't join city but I dont want him going to the scum as he strengthens their hand immensely.

I can only go on what I've been told but where it's come from it's looking probable

If this deal goes through at least it will take away some of the Gooners vitriol off Samir Nasri and make the United vs Arsenal games a lot more interesting.

Cavani or Falcao? i'd probably plump for the latter although i'd be very content with either.I reckon they'd both fit right in.
Dzeko just doesn't suit our style of play but either Cavani or Falcao would. Given the choice, it would have to be bin Dzeko and get Falcao ................

How on earth does Cavani suit our style?

He doesn't at all.

He'd suit our new 3-5-2 formation (which isn't unlike Napoli's 3-4-3) well I think and is clever enough that he might acclimatize to our standard formation. I rate Falcao more than Cavani overall but both are fantastic. And Mancini has spoken publicly about how much he likes Cavani so think he could be our next striker signing but maybe not this summer as I can't see how we could get Dzeko and Ade out the door THEN strike a deal with that shyster Aurelio De Laurentiis before the window closes.

Cavani has only impressed me when he has the massive support of Lavezzi, if we dont have a Lavezzi type then Cavani will not blossom

Can't agree with that, Silva is better than Lavezzi and can feed more opportunities to Cavani than Lavezzi did. People seem to think Cavani is one dimensional because he's flourished in a unique system. But he had started to improve and break out for Palermo before he joined Napoli, usually in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Pastore in a playmaker role behind Cavani and Miccoli.

I think Cavani will adapt a lot better in England than Falcao in my view. Both very talented players though. Question is where we will sell Edin to because by the looks of it we have really pissed off striker.

Whats the point of signing another World class forward ?

City already have 2 and 1 in the making .

Already have 2 World class playmakers ( Silva & Nasri )

1 World class CM ( Yaya )

But they don't have any world class winger, and thats why Mancini was willing to pay +30 M for Hazard.

From what I've seen cavani would be the one, he's quick and as sharp as a tack, I'd keep edin tbh as I like a big man in the squad but if he goes then get cavani bob.

I did and I thought he was lethargic first half, much better in the second of the game I saw.
As I say I'd keep edin but this boy can play. I saw him destroy us in Naples, quick as shit.

My only concern is that he is unproven in the prem whereas RVP is. I was a firm "lets sign RVP" last week before our day out on Sunday which made me realise just how strong we are up top. My only problem is Dzeko.

Yep agreed, I'd always go for the proven prem player. Rvp will score whenever he's fit, shame the rags have him. The daft thing is though is if he does break down again we could afford to spunk the 45m he'll cost in fee and wages, they can't :)

I don't think they will get him from the what Wenger is saying

having read wengers comment after the last game, i think its cert he's off. he said he's an arsenal player and we brought these strikers to play with him, not replace him. when asked can you tell us the latest, he said i cant because nothing has changed.

just the way he said it came across like they have given up on rvp signing new contract and will sell him. If they get between 22-25 million for him, then fair play
