I just find it hilarious that Arsenal are refusing to sell him to the rags for less than £30 million but are rumoured to have offered him to us for £20 million plus some addons.

If they end up paying that much for him at 29 with his injury record plus £250k a week I will piss myself.

Just wait for United's medical team to get acquainted with RVP - he will be on the treatment table for most of the season once they get their hands on him.

I don't care for all this money shit, yes I know the press like to take the piss out of us over the wages and yes if he goes to the rags he is on ten pound a month and is playing for the history crap but IMO and IMO only, RVP is a world class player and given their wingers and style of play it will be frightening to see how may goals he will score.

I am not buying into all this injury crap either. Whether you agree or not RVP at the rags could give them the title and CL and that is all Baconface wants, he doesn't want to go having surrendered the initiative to us. This will be as nerve racking as any prem league season that has gone in the past and I include last year. They win the title and all the wages and cost in transfer fee will be forgotten.

To be honest, I'd be happier if we just kept Edin.

I can't see RVP joining us as anything less than 1st choice striker, which would really upset the apple cart and I am not sure if it would make us any better. Actually it wouldn't.

-- Tue Aug 14, 2012 5:46 pm --

Rammy you can't go around buying everyone on the planet just so the rags don't get them. They have to run their team and we have to run ours.

And I think you underestimate our boys. We totally outclassed Chelsea on Sunday and that was with 4 or 5 of our best players missing. Sticking with the same team and allowing them to continue to bond and gel is worth at least the same as a world class new signing, perhaps more so.

We will be a much improved team this year, and we won it last year. Have faith! We are not the bookies' favourites without good reason.

Very well put chippy

I kind of agree with Rammy here and I really do think Fergurson is desperate for RVP as he probably see's it as his only way of regaining the title and that's all he's bothered about. He's not arsed about his sell on fee as he (Fergie) will have retired by then and to be honest I think if he took the title of us and made it Utd's 20th he'd retire immediately on top. This I believe is now his number one goal and why United are so desperate.

So although we can't keep buying every great player around would it be worth doing it just this one more time, fuck Fergie up and fuck Utd up leaving them little or no time for a replacement. With RVP here and not there surely they would fall much further behind us next season and this make it even harder to catch up the following and on.

Right stand by your beds I aint ITK everyone knows that, reading round a couple of other forums no idea where the links are but this is what I have found

Khaldoon has had a meeting with BM and Mancini. Mancini has got his way now this is where there is a difference of opinion.

Dzeko is out, but the incoming players will either be RVP or another striker valued at 30m provided we can also lose Ade and RSC. The other 30m striker is speculation by some Fredie Boswell bloke off twitter, no idea whether that is good or not, for me with a user name like that sounds utter bollocks. People are starting to get excited about Cavani, they reckon Falcao isn't the player the fee isn't high enough. There again we have been linked with Lewandowski and this Llorente fella.

Oh by the way I couldn't give a stuff about RVP and the rags, maybe I didn't make it clear a lot of posters on here are making excuses about his wages and his injury record in advance, I was just saying if he goes to the rags retaining our title will be that much harder. I didn't say we couldn't retain it or they would definitely win just think this is Baconfaces last throw of the dice before he buggers off. It would be even better if they did buy RVP and we beat the buggers hands down. :-) (Fucking 25 man rule if only we could buy everyone) :-)

If it looks like a Clarkie, smells like a Clarkie, feels like a Clarkie, sounds like a Clarkie and says Danny Wellbeck is better than Balotelli - it's Definately a fucking Clarkie.

Edited.

You nearly ruined it with your "bigger feet" response earlier, I'd have been gutted to not catch somebody! Thought chucking in the hairstyle comment was a bit of a give away....

I knew the hairstyle bit would groom someone ;)

No you tube... jog on son you not doing it right !!

Rvp injury record over the last 3 or 4 seasons has been shocking. Ask any Arsenal fan. it was only last season he was really outstanding goal scoring wise as well.

Yes if he plays for the rags like he did for arsenal last season it will make things more difficult. But we still have a better forward line and a much better midfield.

What are the chances he will settle in his first season and stay injury free based on his history and his age ? Not that high I would say.
